Scheduling:

Patient's variables-


Personality factors?
Age?
Nationality?
Geographical location?
Probable medical needs?
When available?
Current or new patient?
Referred by?
Insurance?
Number of authorized visits?
How soon must the next visit occur?
What level of care is required?


Facilities-

Which office locations are available?
Which examination rooms are available?
What procedures are (or can be) done in which rooms?
Where is the equipment for ??? procedure located?


Procedures -

When should the patient arrive?
What procedures do we do?
Where are they done?
How much prep time is needed for the patient?
How much prep time is needed for the care-givers?
What equipment is needed?
Which care-giver team is involved?
At which point are different team members required?
For how long?
What happens to the patient afterward?

Amazingly, these are not all the the factors involved, yet if set up as a network these simple lists could yield hundreds of thousands - even millions - of answers to the question: "When is my next appointment?"
